Maintaining our accounting knowledge as laws and rules change is crucial to a well-run accounting firm. In December, Hanna attended another great course, this time lead by VAT expert Markus Karlsson, which covered all we need to know about charging MOMS (VAT) on international transactions. This area is particularly complicated and comes with the risk of large costs if it isn't handled properly.
Many of our clients trade internationally and areas we work on include how goods are purchased and sold between EU countries and outside the EU, distance sales of goods, VAT management after Brexit, the recovery of foreign VAT and the multitude of special rules for things such as customs warehouses, property-related services, transport services, electronic services, access to events etc. By knowing all the specific details that apply to each client, we can provide the best advice. From the 02 January 2023 we have new opening times: 9am-4pm each weekday. From all of us at Din Vinst Redovisningsbyrå AB, we wish you the very best for 2023 and are looking forward to working with you in the new year. There have been some changes at the Din Vinst Redovisningsbyrå AB office recently. At the end of November, Hashem Alattar moved abroad to start a new family chapter in his life and we wish him the best of luck.
We have been joined by two new team members at the beginning of October: Ema Valaityte is our new Accounting Assistant and she comes to us having just finished studying Ekonomi at Högbergsskolan in Tierp. Ema will be helping us with data input and current bookkeeping. Feras Atoura takes the position of Accountant and will contribute with an extensive experience from earlier positions as an accountant, a financial controller and a teacher of the subject. He will provide consultancy and support to our clients. Last week Hanna attended a really good course about the accounting rules that housing cooperatives need to follow - 'God redovisningssed i bostadsrättsföreningar'. We help our housing cooperatives clients with financial management and auditing. Housing cooperatives have specific ways of bookkeeping and reporting accounts and it is important to know which general accounting rules apply and how much flexibility one has within the rules. Hanna learned more about documentation that is required by law, like flat register, member register and how to record loans secured on flats. It helps to keep right up-to-date with all the changes in our industry so we can better provide great advice and a great service. |
